Scholarship Opportunity

POSITION HAS BEEN FILLED FOR 2009

Applications are now being accepted for one partial scholarship for the Anasazi Pottery at Mesa Verde: ANCIENT CULTURE THROUGH POTTERY workshop. Scholarship is equal to 50% of regular tuition. 

Accepted applicant will assist the instructor and also participate in the workshop. Tasks will include daily physical labor. All applicants must have their own vehicle. Applicants must be in good health, self motivated and have some knowledge of ceramics and/or archaeology. Duties will include set-up and breakdown of the studio each day, fetching water, preparing materials, assisting participants, etc. In order to receive scholarship accepted applicant must pay full tuition initially and stay for the entire workshop. Upon completion of the workshop the assistant will receive 50% of their tuition back on the spot.

College and graduate students are encouraged to apply. Assistant may collect data or conduct personal research during the workshop if desired. Undergraduate and/or graduate credit may be available.
